So...
Almost three weeks ago, my 7" Android tablet died suddenly. Well... actually I dropped it on the subway, the corner of the screen cracked, then later that day is started randomly freezing on me. And then a few days later it kinda just died. Then I broke it... like in half, broke it.

So the next day, I started shopping for a new Tablet. Fond a decent one on Amazon. I'm kinda cheap... why would I pay a premium to get a branded tablet, when I can get a generic Chinese knockoff that does it all for a lot less money??

So I found one on Amazon. 139$, dual core, Android 4.0 etc etc... everything I needed... so I bought it.
Then I waited a few days... and Yippy! It showed up... or so I THOUGHT!
I take the box... it's WAY too light... I open the box and find... a Tablet charger... no tablets.

So I call Amazon and explain and they quickly agree to send me a full refund and a shipping sticker to send the charger back. Then I go back to Amazon, and re-order the tablet. Then I email Amazon to warn them about the mistake, just in case.
Next day, I get my tracking number and the UPS site says the box is 0.6lds... that is too light! So I call Amazon again and insist that they check so I could maybe return the package now and not waste time. The guy on the phone puts me on hold to "check"(I suspect that he was just finishing his sandwich or something), then comes back and assures me that "no no... I checked and it was indeed a full Tablet that was shipped".... fine.

A few days later I get the box and.... and... it's to fscking light... they shipped a charger... AGAIN!!!!
Call Amazon, get a refund, yaddiyaddiyadda... AGAIN!

By that time, I am getting frustrated, so I decide to order from a Chinese website directly, just to avoid the stupid mistake again.
I order another model, pay extra for 3-5 days shipping.
That was last Friday.
The box was delivered yesterday, but there was nobody home so they didn't leave it.
I had to call, pay duty fees, fill out and sign the little card and they were supposed to deliver today.
But NOOOO... Snow storm... all deliveries stopped for today.
SO... it's Friday, they are closed till Monday... so maybe I'll get it on Monday.

Now... the kicker is... the waybill on which my duty fees were calculated, describes what was in the box and how much it's worth... standard procedure.

Well... on the way bill, it says that it's an MP3 player worth 44$. No mention of a tablet worth 150$.

The suspense is killing me...

So it's been waht... almost a year since I posted anything on EP?
Blog, stories or confession?

I know I posted a few comments here and there... I don't know.
I've switched jobs 3 times since then, probably deleted an account or two, got that one a year ago and took over six months to allow anyone to "see" me.

It's been a good break and I have no intention of using EP like I was before.

I can't access EP from work, I've never really used EP much from home, so that leaves very little. I know I've disappointed at least one person by being absent or unresponsive. It's okay, I understand, maybe it's better, maybe I'm not what they need or thought I was...

Apart from that how's life?
Well... didn't crash the bike this year! Switched jobs twice in 3 months but am now at an AWESOME place, just bought a heavy punching bag... wicked great workout plus I get to dump my accumulated public transport anger and aggression when I get home... bonus!

Family is good, kids are great, couple's like a picture frame, life is such that I have absolutely no right to complain about anything.

Missed some of you. Missed a lot some of you. Missed some so much I couldn't stay away (even if now some seem to be staying away from me)... but haven't missed "EP" itself one bit.

That's about it... just thought I'd officially say hello... I'm not back.
